Lease Options are another way to purchase a home. Rather than buying a home outright, a lease option allows a buyer to lease a home for a short period of time with the option to buy it before the lease is up.  Sometimes referred to as ‘rent to own’, lease options have been increasing in popularity as more and more buyers have encountered short-term financing issues.

Owners of hard to sell properties can use lease options to attract buyers. More sellers are choosing lease options because of the money they save and the money they can make on short-term leases versus continuing to hold properties and eventually owing sales commissions.
